‘This intimate design has a convenient West Berlin location close to the eponymous Savignyplatz. It aims to recreate an upscale “home-from-home” feel with swanky public areas, esoterically designed rooms and a hip restaurant and winter garden’ (The Telegraph).
Our little Charlottenburg neighbourhood has always been an arts and culture centre. Notable thinkers and artists were regulars at the neighbourhood’s Romanisches Café in the 1920s, and their creative energy remains today. Come soak it up.
Located close to scenic Savignyplatz, the hotel is well situated for the plentiful commercial and cultural charms of West Berlin. The upscale shops of Ku’damm are a short walk away, as is the Berlin Zoo, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and Tiergarten. Galleries, restaurants and shops (including KaDeWe and Stilwerk) are close by and nearby rail connections give easy access across the city.

Sir Savigny Hotel Berlin Free Berlin Christmas Markets Tour
Get into the spirit of the season and visit three of Berlin’s spectacular Christmas markets. Pick up a handcrafted gift for the special someone and sample traditional foods such as stollen, candied apples, cookies, and big German sausages. What’s the wurst that could happen? Even in the coldest weather, a “Glühwein” or two – the hot mulled wine that is a staple of the markets – will have you feeling warm and cosy in no time!
You will visit three of the most attractive markets in the city, such as Spandau in western-most Berlin, which boasts one of the biggest Christmas markets in Germany but is seldom frequented by tourists. With its well-preserved medieval centre around the fourteenth century St. Nicholas Church, Spandau is the perfect setting to enjoy the festivities. You may also visit Charlottenburg Palace, where the Christmas market has been a local favourite for many years or Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the iconic landmark of West Berlin, near Ku’damm where you can learn about the rich history of this part of town.
Please note: Berlin Christmas Markets are open from the 25th November – 31st December
