Comprising 9 volcanic islands, the remote archipelago of the Azores are set like jewels in the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, approximately 1500km from the Portuguese coast. Our walking tour takes place on the largest of the 9 islands, San Miguel, starting at the Vista do Rei viewpoint and finishing by the striking volcanic crater and lake of Sete Cidades. On the way back to Ponta Delgada you will stop at the viewpoint of ‘Santiago’ lake. This small volcanic crater is set within the colossal crater of Sete Cidades.
