What to do in the area? There is plenty of options for your holidays, whether it is sunny or rainny. Carvoeiro (4 KM)- With an ancient history, this picturesque fishersmans village has become a touristical attraction. Carvoeiro offers a series of small beaches, with clear waters and fine sand. It is also the ideal place to visit the local shops with handicraft, dine in the numerous restaurants with terraces and assist to live acts in the street. Ferragudo (5 KM) – town of fishermen who have always been closely linked to the river and the sea. The waterfront offers a wide selection of restaurants and several beaches. Portimão Museum (8 KM) – Located in the former cannery Feu, the 5000 m2 of history contains several exhibition spaces, auditorium, workshop and laboratory for conservation and restoration and a documentation center.* Slide & Splash (3 KM) – Slide & Splash is one of the best water parks in the country.
