Sample Itinerary

Fly from the UK direct to Zante. Stay for 4 nights at the Mabely Grand Hotel hotel in Zante. During your stay in Zante you can enjoy cruise excursion trip to visit Olympia, the home of the Olympic Games. Then travel by ferry to the beautiful Kefalonia for a 3 night stay at the Ionian Emerald Resort. Then on day 8 you fly home from Kefalonia to the UK. Prices start from just £699pp including all transfers & ferry travel. Itinerary possible to amend as required, please contact for details.

The Mabely Grand Hotel offers ultra luxury, spectacular landscapes and romantic sunsets.
Combining elegant interiors, old world charm and modern amenities, the hotel has an ideal location in one of the most picturesque and peaceful areas of Zakinthos (Zante), by the Ionian Sea, and is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday.
The hotel is built around two large swimming pools. The swimming pool of the main building overlooks the garden and is the focal point for relaxing, while the swimming pool below the annex buildings has it’s own bar which serves drinks and snacks.

Kefalonia Cruise: Kefalonia is just a stone-throw away from the island of Zante. On a clear day you can see it from some vantage points. Why not take the opportunity for a day trip to explore the island during your holiday?
At the beginning of the day you will be picked up and enjoy a scenic coach ride to the port of Ag. Nicholaos where you will board the ferry across to Kefalonia. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival in Kefalonia you will first visit the monastery of St. Gerrasimos where you will have a short visit for photographs.
You will then visit the Melissani Underground Lake and the Drogarati Caves (these are optional and entrance fees are not included in the price).
A lunch stop will be taken in Ag. Efimia (lunch not included), followed by a photo stop at the famous Myrtos Beach. After this you will continue on to Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, where you will have a short stop for coffee/ice cream etc. this is the final stop before returning to the port for your return journey to Zante by ferry.

Option to extend your stay in Kefalonia and fly home from Kefalonia.

Option to add Olympia Cruise Trip – This is your opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Olympia – home of the Olympic Games during classical times, held every four years between the 8th Century BC and the 4th Century AD. The Olympic Flame of the modern-day Olympic Games is still lit here by reflection of sunlight in a parabolic mirror in front of the Temple of Hera and then transported by a torch to the place where the games are held.
The tour begins with a short journey to Zakynthos Town which is where you will board the ferry boat for your journey to Killini, on the mainland. The ferry journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon reaching the mainland you will rejoin your coach and make your way to Olympia (approximately 1 hour).
At Olympia you will meet your official Greek guide who will take you for a tour of the Olympia site. You will be able to see the sites of the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Zeus, the Pelopion, the hippodrome and the stadium.
After your tour of the site you will be taken to the nearby museum where there is an opportunity to see more items which were discovered on the site and in the local area.
Once the tour has finished you will head over to the Olympic Village (home of the 2004 Olympic Games), where you will have the chance to have some lunch, take a look around the shops, and maybe buy some souvenirs.
You will then make your journey back to the port of Killini to catch your ferry boat back to Zakynthos.

The Mabely Grand Hotel is built around two outdoor large sweet-water swimming pools (not heated). With its panoramic views over the Ionian blue sea, Mabely Grand Hotel is blessed with a truly romantic setting. The swimming pool below the Annex buildings, has it's own Bar which serves drinks and snacks between 10:00 and 18:00.

The large pool of the Annex building is equipped with separate children’s pool. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available around the pool, ideal for enjoying the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea.
