About Quinta da Serra
Quinta da Serra is situated 820 meters above sea level, offers a unique and exquisite setting in communion with nature, and invites you to rest and renew energy, in a quiet and relaxing way.
Along the leafy gardens there is an indoor heated sweet water pool, where you can also relax in the Jacuzzi, enjoy a massage in our Spa, attend the gym overlooking the gardens or take a sauna.
The Quinta da Serra has many attractions to hold you under its spell! The indoor pool, the sauna, the Jacuzzi, a massage and fine dining are all most enjoyable.
This peaceful resort is one of the most beautiful on the island & is often depicted on postcards from Madeira. Nearby Cabo Girao is one of the highest cliffs in the world (580m) & offers incredible views out to sea & of the local scenery. Try the new suspended glass platform to really test your limits!
Madeira is an island of such extraordinary beauty. The island’s capital, Funchal, is around 20-30 minutes away. Here you will find some excellent shopping, a market and a wide choice of good restaurants. Don’t forget the Botanical Gardens outside Funchal too.
Who wants to be in a city when some lovely villages like Camara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava or Ponta do Sol are waiting for you!
Many visitors to Madeira enjoy hiking along the “levadas” to experience real contact with the island’s exceptional beauty. These are walks along the side of ancient irrigation channels providing access to parts many non-walkers will never see. Some walks are rather easy, some are much more strenuous – we recommend you get a copy of “Landscapes of Madeira” by Pat and John Underwood, published by Sunflower Books – it is a fount of knowledge for walkers.
